1. Overview

CallSignal ("we", "us", "our") provides communication and alerting services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, disclose, and protect personal information when using our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information (name, email, organization, role), communication data (phone numbers, call logs, escalation paths), usage data (feature usage, activity history), and technical data (IP address, device/browser type, system logs).

3. How We Use Information

To deliver notifications and escalation workflows, operate and maintain the Service, provide reporting and analytics, improve reliability, provide customer support, detect fraud or abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell personal data. We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share data only with service providers (telecom, cloud hosting), for legal requirements, or in business transfers subject to safeguards.

5. GDPR Compliance

CallSignal acts as a Data Processor; the Customer is the Data Controller. We rely on contractual necessity, legitimate interests, and legal obligation as our legal bases. Data subjects may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability.

6. CCPA / CPRA Compliance

We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. California residents have rights to know, access, delete, correct, and limit use of their personal information. Requests: privacy@callsignal.com.

7. Data Security

We implement encryption in transit (TLS), role-based access controls, system logging, and limited access to production systems. No system is completely secure.

8. User Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for obtaining proper consent before contacting individuals, maintaining accurate contact data, and complying with applicable laws including TCPA and CAN-SPAM.
